THE OLD CHURCH

It was Christmas Morning and as I walked through the Churchyard
I could hear the organ playing ‘Silent Night’
Ahead I could see the little old Church
It’s stained glass windows displaying a welcoming light

It’s big old door creaked as I pushed it
As though it was greeting me in
The children were all dressed in their very best clothes
Standing together ready to sing

As we praised the Lord and sang to His glory the old Church came alive
There was joy and excitement on the face of each child
And as the voices of the people reached up to the rafters
I feel sure that Little Church smiled
