Whole Again

Whole Again

the mirror shatters
life's bits and pieces scatter
into broken wind
search I do for what is me
finding what is yet to be

The memories of that time still surround me. I was so lost in my own world that my world lost me. I distanced myself from my very existence. Instead, I waded in the throes of profound grief, the sea of self-pity, and refused to climb tomorrow's mountain. But then a miracle happened. I began to look inside myself and release my pain and self-doubt. I became whole again with a heart filled with love never to be forgotten and words still to share. My soul was filled with the spirit of life and renewal of faith. I understand now that this was a journey I had to take because the Lord has told me so.
