Time seems to be passing quickly
As I near the winter of my being.
The joy of an echo heard lingers still
But I know this too is fleeing.
I do enjoy a sip of silence
For then my heart remembers
That special moment we shared
On a cold afternoon in December.
You told me again how much you loved me
And asked me to be your bride.
You then kissed my tears away...
Never brushing them aside.
Oh, the years we were given to share
Will live forever within my soul...
For even after you went to Heaven
You continued to help me be whole.
