Get Rid Of The Advertisements

A simple shooting star

I see a shooting star as it streaks across the sky
Wondering just what they are, why they fly so high
Just a bit of angel dust makes them soar in the air
Their flight so brief, just a chunk of rock oh, so rare
Their path of flight lights up the darkest night, light beams
Have no voice, make no noise, as downward they stream
Traveling so many miles seems like a senseless quest
Why travel so far with no reason but be burned at best
There must be a reason, for them to be turned to fiery dust
Pointless it seems, no purpose shown, simply wanderlust
Curiosity speaks of ageless wonders, for man squanders
Be still, my heart, for God has his purpose, man ponders
