Get Rid Of The Advertisements

Simplification undone

Sometimes when I wake up I feel like I am at a loss
Do not know just why but I think of the words I lost
My thinker is thinking, my words sit idly on the shelf
My eyes are barely blinking and so I think to myself
What words can I say , how do I show others the way
As my hair slowly turns gray, I wonder what is today
In my agitated brain now, sing out a sweet soft refrain
Hoping my words do not fail nor just fall down the drain
As my mind grows much weaker, I try to rhyme my song
In gratitude, my attitude succumbs as I softly sing along
The next time I wake while on the edge of a dream
I think I will give up my thoughts and simply scream

Just for the love of it
phrase
on the edge of a dream
