' Missing Rose '

Oh how we feared someone endeared to us had disappeared
Asking, 'is there anyone who knows what happened to Rose?'
For months and months we'd heard nary not a solitary word
and to leave us in the lurch was nothing she would have chose

We now know what has happened to our sweet precious Rose
she's passed on and is in heaven with her other Starlite friends
So many in these past ten years have gone on to their reward
I thank God their poetry shall remain here 'til this old world ends

Rose would always brighten our days with such beautiful poetry
and her presentations were among the loveliest I've ever seen
She'd always write of love and her sweetie pie's eyes of blue
when she learned about Trines, she had become a Trine Queen

We will miss her poems of her grandmother and her love for her
about her childhood days and all the fun they'd together shared
I truly wish I'd known her better, she had begun to call me 'sis'
I pray she knew how much we'd loved her, how much we cared

We miss you, Rose!
