Sight to BEE-hold

Photograph by Jim Smith

When shall the bees to my garden return ?
THE flowers are wilting and for their touch, yearn.
FLOWER is evidence plants procreate,
BLOSSOMS lie heavy with pollen's sweet weight.
THE wee insect flitting to flower, blossom, bloom,
BEE, bring your baskets to our sweet perfume.
WILL you now favour the lilac's soft hue ?
COME, God's small helper, we've nectar for you.
