Get Rid Of The Advertisements

Simple Kindness

Kindness costs one nothing
but effort from the heart.
Kindnesses repeated
set a human soul apart.
Kindnesses accumulate
and heaven keeps the score.
They are tallied and assessed for you
when you knock on heaven's door.

But I simply must work harder
to assure myself a place.
If I can just adopt your
generosity and grace.
I reckon then we'll meet again
each and every blessed one,
for here I've found just kindness
and I've never felt alone.

You've reached my heart with kindness
beyond duty, beyond pay.
So I look forward with gladness
when we meet again one day.
