NATURE'S CASTAWAYS

PART I

Where we go
Makes us wonder
As we wander
     Along the path
     of discovery
     With eyes wide open
Not collecting anything
But memories
Of what we see
     As we stroll
     Barefooted in the sand
     Along the sea
Some though ----- more thoughtful
Are hooked
Collecting nature's castaways

PART II

From the sea
We fish for memories
Floating upon the sleaves
Of nature's waves
Caught up in the laps
Of our imaginations
We're hooked ----
Not letting the tide
Take them away

PART III

What is a tree
but a reaching out into the blue
What is a bird
but wings flying free above the sea
What is a fish
but freedom swimming in the sunlight of the sea
What is a string
but what binds us to nature and wonderful things
Whar are colors
but shades of hope, love, and endless desire
What are shells
but covers of what we truly are
What are shapes
but points to paths not yet chosen
What is life
but a collage of hopes and desires realized
