Get Rid Of The Advertisements

Wonders of my mind

I bring myself to a special place,
when stars don't shine,
and cold embraces,
my uncolored mornings...

Instead I imagine,
the warmth of a robins nest,
being made in the cleft
of a leaf filled branch...
even though winter
still hasn't left...

Dogwood blossoms falling
on the grass below.
Flowers in the window boxes
along the street,
seem to smile and say hello.

I especially love walking on a cool
summer night,
seeing houses all lit up.
I take a peek and see
family pictures hanging on
walls,
an easy chair around a fireplace.

But what I love most,
is when I reach the pier,
where I can sit
and watch the sailboats go by...

wishing I was traveling along
to see the places that
lodge beyond...

Now it's time to go back home
to the cold I left behind,
embracing all that I have found,
in the wonders of my mind.
