Get Rid Of The Advertisements

Flooding in town

The weather man said a brewing storm was on the way
When it came, the roar of thunder filled the fading day
The falling rain came pounding down, flooding all round
My thoughts escaping did not go far, that pounding sound
Thankfully we live on higher ground, flooding down town
No one hurt, just water everywhere, glad I was home

Multi phrase challenge

a brewing storm, roar of thunder
falling, rain, thoughts escaping
