Enveloped In Peace

Tonight as I stood on the pier. I embraced this moment of stillness except for the water lapping at the rocks reminding me that even in silence thoughts can be interrupted. The peacefullness of the night time sky covered me in moonlight and an occasional breeze stung my face as beach sand touched my skin. Every now and again seagulls would fly by squaking at me as if I could satisfy their never ending hunger.
A part of me wanted to remain here for the duration of the night. Such peace. I collected my thoughts and headed back to the car taking with me the joy of this early Springtime evening as the stars seemed to be twinkling a little brighter, and I left taking with me the comfort this all brought to me as I was enveloped in peace.
