Get Rid Of The Advertisements

SPLAYED UPON THE LAWN

While searching for the perfect words
To dance across the page,
I met a phrase I had not known...
And it was filled with rage!

It's face was red in angry scowl...
It frightened me somewhat.
And as I turned to walk away,
Well this is what I got!

The wretched words it shouted then
Were ones to give a scare!
The bloodshot eyes from sleepless nights,
Were none to be compared.

Right then and there I sat me down
To think...perchance to weep.
I thought and thought and thought some more,
Then fell there fast asleep.

When I awoke...this is no joke,
Those angry words were gone.
And in their place...a new found peace
Was splayed upon the lawn!
