FLYING HIGH

I wonder what it would be like to fly
To spread my wings and reach the sky
To look down in wonder upon the earth below
Flying over mountains and rivers as they flow

At night to fly up to the moon
Then rest upon a star
In daylight search for rainbows
Climb a path to where they are

Gather up the pots of gold
Scatter over countries that are poor
Everyone could gather it up
And they would be poor no more

But I am only dreaming as it could never be
Only birds were born with wings never you or me
So as I watch those little birds soaring in the sky
I just wonder what it would be like to be able to fly
