MAY I PAINT YOU?

(A children's poem)

May I paint you, lovely child?
Please come in from out the wild.
I shall paint you golden locks,
Then crochet your winter socks.

If perchance you cannot stay,
We shall meet some other day.
Happenstance is all it takes,
When the bough begins to break.

Leave your worries at the door...
You shan't need them anymore.
Please be careful of the cat,
Sleeping soundly on the mat.

It is tea time...off you go,
To your home be-crowned with snow.
Careful be you on the way,
THINGS can happen any day!
