Get Rid Of The Advertisements

I MEANT TO DO THAT

On the narrow dusty windowsill
The cat sits on her haunches
Bathed in freckles of light
As the warmth of a lemon sun
Lulls her to sleep in sphinx-like stupor.

As her muscles begin to relax
And she is suspended somewhere
In between her past lives, a sudden noise
Jolts her into the present and she
Falls to the ground with a thud.

With calmness and haughty demeanor she
Picks herself up, stretching her full length
And piously turns with an all-knowing look
In her fiery red eyes that says....
''I MEANT to do that!''
