Ascend

I'm on the road again my friend.
Travel fast or slow there I'll go.
I've noticed this road has no end.
Fighting for right is all I know.

It started when I was a boy.
Instilled in me by mom and dad.
When doing right it caused such joy.
Purpose in life is what I had.

The books I read movies I saw.
Good versus bad was the real theme.
Living life I walked through that door.
The path I've choosen is my dream.

To some it seems the harder way.
Guessing it is a point of view.
I tally at the end of day.
And I'd rather be me than you.

I will be judged at lifes' end.
If judged well I will ascend.
