I Find Best

No longer is this fairytale just a midnight machination.
Has taken now a daytime form of my wildest realization.
What was just a wisp of willow adrift out in the distance.
Now become consuming desire, overcoming all resistance.

Of values I've held long and true, and never once did transgress.
Doff them now, grasp my dream, and ask the powers to bless.
And she be not a temptress dark, asking render up my soul.
Be she blood flesh woman, offering now we both be whole.

Rain falls softly on the meadow, no longer frost upon the earth.
All the seeds were sleeping, sunshine now they're giving birth.
As the dreams were gathered, I do in this life what I find best.
Think not my shield I'm lying down, or betraying now a quest.

There are times we must prioritize, will good out weigh the pain.
Done pure of heart and honestly, then all concerned will gain.
For I will have my lady fair, she is my own true love I attest.
As the dreams were gathered, I did do what I find best.
