Get Rid Of The Advertisements

Small Treasures

The day was hot, no day to jog,
I stood, throwing sticks that my dog,
retrieved and dropped beside my feet,
'til he tired, oppressive the heat.

As sunshine blazed in clear blue sky,
two boys on bikes went whizzing by.
Just then somewhere across the street,
my eyes fixed on a summer treat.

Afloat on a breeze, treasures found,
stealthy they moved without a sound.
Iridescent orbs on the wind,
soap bubbles, no two ever twinned.

On and on drifting aimlessly,
dipping and diving happily.
I sat and gazed and understood,
it's simple things that make life good.
