Get Rid Of The Advertisements

Strangers

Kind of hard to believe it has been six years
Since you asked me to marry you
Six years since I said yes
Little did we know
Our 'Forever and Always'
Would never come

You were my addiction
We were young and in love
Distance consumed 'Us'
Eventually I had to accept
The awful truth
You weren't coming back
Tears flowed
For two and a half long years

When I heard your voice for the first time
My heart instantly froze
Scared to talk
afraid of what you would say
What would I say after
All this time

As my face grew hot
I realized
I needed words to speak

Recently I dialed your number
A long phone conversation just like
We used to when we were young
This time was different
Like two strangers who had never met
We'd become two different people
