Her Reality

Her Reality

the rustle of leaves
brushing against summer wind
creates melodies

She had never made a 'bucket list' of what she wanted to experience but never had because she felt that her life had been full. As she watches the leaves at play, she begins to understand why she never did. She had lived her life so dependent on her imagination that it never occurred to her to list those things she'd like to see....and yet here she is seeing those things once imagined! She reaches for her pen and paper and begins to write as tears fill her eyes. Yes, it was a list but not one of dreams. No, she writes of this new reality, this world that blends painted pictures and concertos of nature. How blessed she is to have ever known this! She writes her last reality for the day and touches her pen to her heart. Her last reality listed is... a tear shed on paper to blend with the ink of her pen.
