Summer

Summer

Summer heat

Envelopes day

In humidity’s embrace

Hazy skies

Obscure sun’s

Radiant face

Intense heat parches day

Flowers begin to crave

Water’s quenching trace

Storms arise

Darkening skies

Rain’s cool embrace

Sun shines through

Rainbow’s vivid hues

Summer’s saving grace
