After The Storm

After The Storm

Though the storm passed through
And it rained on for days
The folks gathered together
Because love still remains

It will take them a while
To clean up the storms mess
But as they come together
They know they are blessed

It went through big cities
And left them under water
But as the water recedes
They form like sister and brother

Though so many dangers
Still lurk in all around
Folks are giving helping hands
Without making a racist sound

Hurricane harvey left a mess
On its way all through Texas lands
But bringing out the best of each
As they pitch in helping hands

Now the water is going down
As the storm moves on its way
Pouring even more rain down
On everything that is in the way

Some lost loved ones in the flood
Those can not be replaced
But we pray they meet again
When we all meet again at Grace

So let us pray for all those
That lost way to much
May they find peace again
As they feel Heavens touch
