Friends In A Higher Place
Friends In A Higher Place

I have friends in a higher place
Than a Judge upon his bench
That,if you're not one of his friends
He will throw you a monkey wrench

The friends that I have
Listen to my every prayer
Though they don't make a sound
I still know they're there

Though they are not on a plane
They are above the clouds
Listening and watching
Our every word and every sound

Unlike the Judge upon his bench
These friends can not be bought
These kind of friends are felt
Not something text books taught

Most friends,Lawyers,and Judges
All after that mighty dollar
Not caring for what's justice
Rather another pin on thier collar

They don't care what it takes
Always after money or more fame
Just greedy for what they want
No matter how much they shame

They have no cares anymore
For thier fellow man today
Only looking out for themselves
Only caring if they get thier way

We need to pray together
If we want justice in this land
Vote them back out of office
It's time we took a stand

It's been going on way to long
They don't care about wrong or right
So let us all bow in prayer
May this all come to an end tonight

Oh Lord we know You hear us here tonight
Remove all the crooks from power tonight
They have been at this much to long
May they learn again wrong from right
