The Garden Planner

CULTIVATE your own small plot of pleasure,
THE earth so rich and fertile in your hand,
GARDEN awash with rainbow coloured treasure,
FOR the sake of all those caring for the land.
THE fragrance of the most amazing flowers,
NOSE overcome by violet, stock and rose.
AND here I spend delightful daylight hours...
THE fragile snow-drop and the gold primrose.
EYES cannot comprehend the Master's blue-print.
WILL it matter if the beds are not laid right?
TAKE lavender and plant with emerald mint,
CARE in the placement to catch morning light.
OF all who gain great pleasure tilling soil,
THEMSELVES delight in simple, basic toil.
