Get Rid Of The Advertisements

Ever Chasing Shadows

Shadows laugh,
Twirling in the spotlight
With sparks flying, when
We were in love.
I chase those shadows,
Then turn and run, yet
They follow me, teasing
My heart,
Filling my head with
Thoughts, reliving
Your kisses,
Your caresses,
Your promises.
Chasing shadows where
Love is turned up-side-down.
Wish I could blame it
On our youth, but
We were old enough,
To know better.
