Less Greens

SHADOW softly mellows summer high-lights.
IS a changing wind a breath in time...or nay ?
A chill creeps in upon my lovely twilights,
COLOUR redefines my leaf bouquet.
AS living things prepare for dormant seasons
LIFE varies as the new colours of leaves.
IS viscosity of sap sufficient reason ?
BUT recall, the joy of bringing in the sheaves.
LESS greens, more golds and reds in skies of blue,
BRILLIANT, the coming of fall, delightful hue.
