Self Improvement

Restless I slept, disturbed at first
by threats made in his last outburst.
I left the room, he came off worst.
Bitterness nursed, bitterness nursed.

Startled by noise I woke to see
I was alone as I could be,
but none too sad, surprisingly.
A bully he, a bully he.

This night my peace I shall redeem.
There, sliding on a bright moonbeam,
a dream of love worthy to dream.
A love supreme, a love supreme.
