Travelling Companion

GOOD travelling companion of my childhood,
COMPANY in life's adventure ever,
IN trials which beset, the best we could,
A friend through thick and thin, hurt egoes...never!
JOURNEY into motherhood we gladly shared,
MAKES you my scaffold, as I have been yours,
THE road made easier with one who cared,
WAY paved into old age through open doors.
SEEM lost in yesterday, your heart and mind,
SHORTER the path maybe...dementia unkind.

Quote (Upper Case) : Izaak Walton
