Please Stay
With the gorgeous magnificent flare of a peacock she entered my world.
It's not that she was invited, but rather a delightful whimsy of the time.
As if hypnotized my eyes purposely fixed, her image in my mind whirled.
It took no imagination or outside prompting to know I'd make her mine.

The time was here to equip myself with beautiful words spoken to entice.
All of me that is charming and alluring conjured and in her direction drifts.
My words softly fill her mind with rainbows and all of spring rain that's nice.
Her body moves, her eyes speak, my thoughts and plans she happily lifts.

Lightly her hair brushes across my face as she turns and begins to walk away.
I follow the fragrance and say the two magical words, she stops, please stay.
