Quiet Mystery

*****
Twilight time has come again.
Another day is done.
We'll walk along the riverside
Beneath the setting sun.

The climbing rose is lovelier
Then it has ever been,
It trails up a rocky bank
Sketching a pretty scene.

Those deep Crayola colors
Are fading from the sky.
Breathlessly we watch the Eagles
As they dip and fly.

The first bright silver stars
Seem a million miles away.
They'll disappear behind the sun
At the first light of day.

Evenings bring quiet mystery,
When twilight time's begun.
It's the time we spend together
Beneath the setting sun.

beneath the setting sun
