Get Rid Of The Advertisements

She Glowed

On a special Friday evening
as excitement's thrill increased,
we arrived at the swank old theatre,
a production of Beauty and the Beast.

Only a school production
but I'd seen all their shows before.
It would delight from curtain opening
until the very last encore.

What made this show so special,
nothing second rate or shabby
was that Belle the heroine was played
by my darling grand-child, Gabbi.

The whole family involves in some way
her daddy producer, director,
mummy, the music teacher...each note a joy,
James an usher, Nathan money collector.

My beautiful girl with her pure crystal voice,
'spot-on' perfect at twelve years of age,
sang her heart out, convincing the role,
taking total control of the stage.

She glowed in the curtain calls, just as she out to
beautiful, talented, sweetest grand daughter
