Summer Breeze

in Summer
i throw any minute
transient madness I can't bear
like fireflies, whose night lights flare
soon dissipate into warm thin air

in Summer
rivulets from heat
i leak afresh in warm rose blush
sweat and tears sluice 'pon scorched brush
in rapid raging river rush

in Summer
along the edge of these
thickly green and mossy trees
me, picking tender blueberries
growing wild in a Summer breeze.
