Four Seasons

God gives us these four seasons.
His many blessings set the mood.
Spring is now a whisper,
A pastel sweetened interlude.

Summer boasts of playtime
Blossoms basking in the sun.
I can't believe summer
Is going, going gone.
It's over and done.

We tolerate dog-days of august,
In anticipation of Autumn's tapestry.
Vistas painted to perfection.
My heart filled to capacity.

Then winter strikes a crystal pose
Scattering diamonds o're the land.
It's then I'm reminded
Of the power of the Master's hand.

Simplicity with Deeny
phrase
I can't believe summer
is going, going gone
