John 14:6 (NIV) New International Version: Jesus answers Thomas in verse 6: “I am the way, the truth, and the lifel. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

In quiet desperation they
stretch out their hands
searching for help,
but no help is there.
They cry,
“Where is the healing?”
They hang their head
in deep dispair

They were so close they couldn't see
the Jesus, that died for you and me;
Their tears flow inwardly,
smiling at the world
they shroud their agony.

Their burdens they keep entombed
buried deep inside,
Our Heavenly Father pleads,
“I am the way, the life,
come unto me; cast your burdens
at my feet.”
In their way stands pain and pride.

God, and his son Christ,
who died on brutal Calvary
are always there waiting patiently
day after day;
Those who understand,
bow their heads to pray.
