Get Rid Of The Advertisements

Confined

Feeling confined to the house today,
Not for some misdeed my freedom curtailed,
Rather because of these well bandaged legs
Swathed in dressings, infection holds sway

Painful blisters too many to count
Erupt on my skin, intense itching too
in large amounts add to this malady
impossible to walk, feet propped up on a stool

Yet as I am sitting here in self-pitying mind
Other thoughts intrude of a different kind
This health attack holds no control
For there is a way my mind can make me whole

Fight back and refuse on this sickness to dwell
But fix my mind firmly on Jesus instead
For He is the healer of all, the battle won
I pray to the Father through Jesus the son

Sickness, infection, where now your authority?
A far greater power flows through the heart of me
My Spirit is lifted, I feel no longer confined
All chains are broken, Freedom is mine!
