DAYS IN THE LOOKING GLASS

Leaves drifting past with their colors of light,
Still me with wisdom in darkness of night.
Fall brings her beauty and windblown relief,
Looking t'ward snowfall beyond my belief.

Clouds gather aimlessly, mulling about,
Winds build with ferver and then I must shout.
Time seems to rush around gathering speed,
Soon 'twill be Christmas and some people's greed.

Words drifting past holding mem'ries in tow,
Follow me closely wherever I go.
Some wear fine laces with ribbons and such,
Others bring sorrow....I don't like them much!

Seasons to witness in joy or in pain...
Help me to know that there's something to gain.
Days in the looking glass, nights rendered keep,
Leave me to yearn for eternity's sleep.
