Empty Spaces, Empty Pages

Empty Spaces, Empty Pages

I've collected them all,
the whispers of life
felt within the soul,
the sighs of time
touched by the heart,
the sounds of every season
heard beyond the silence...
I've gathered the breaths
of loved ones, tucked away
the memories of the past,
wrapped them in today's gift
and tomorrow's promise....
I've penned my words
in a journal of thoughts.....

but even with all things gathered,
collected, and written,
I have left empty spaces.
empty pages, to be filled
by what I have yet to feel,
yet to hear, yet to touch...
all things I have yet to remember

...and I am content.
