Get Rid Of The Advertisements

Fall is here

A myriad of russet colours
Gentle breezes shaking the trees
Starting with a flutter
The merry dancing of falling leaves

The season is changing its colours
From summer’s hazy hue
To russet, brown, gold and yellow
Instead of red, green, purple and blue

And now is the time of the harvest
To gather in all we have grown,
Storing up food for the winter
The fruit of the seed we have sown

A time of preparation, we open up our barn
To receive the fruits of our labour
Chop wood ready for winter
Bring out sweaters to keep ourselves warm

And in these days of pumpkin pie
Apple crumble – with custard too!
We give thanks to the Lord for His bounty
His harvest of me and of you.
