Get Rid Of The Advertisements

COME SIT WITH ME

Come sit with me, she whispered low...
She did not yearn to live or know
The whereabouts of her true love...
That once betrothed a calling dove.

Her days were emptied of desire,
Another dawn or nights' retire.
If all could be forgotten there,
It would become her answered prayer.

She'd not remembered how to laugh,
He could not come to bless the mass.
Nor could she see his smile or trace
An emblem of their love's disgrace.

How did it happen on that day?
She only came to kneel and pray.
But as she entered his embrace,
Their mortal sin birthed their disgrace.
