The River

silent the river flows onward, its' course uncertain
yet firm,
it travels unhindered in silence, beyond each hillock
and berm ;
its' waters a mass flowing current, majestically cool
yet serene,
a wondrous moving enhancement, in all the beauty
that's seen.

moving along free, unhindered, relentless it seems
in pursuit,
its' course never-ending and perfect, all blemishes to
quickly dilute ;
the river flows forth in its' wisdom, seeming to know
where to go,
carving its' way with a magic, us humans seldom
can know.

its' waters refreshing and sparkling, such languid
peace it imparts,
a boundless, hypnotic enticement, enthralling and
filling our hearts ;
water the life giving liquid, we must strive to see that
it's pure,
for without its' nourishing powers, all life on earth
won't endure.
