Be still My Heart

Be still my heart as the clamor of the day
Slips quietly away in the stillness of the night
And my body lies in sweet repose
As my eyes slowly begin to close
I whisper words of love and delight
For the One who guides my steps along the way
And when my steps begin to falter
Catches me in arms of love as I stumble.

A silent tear slowly moves down my face
Recalling the struggles of the day
My heart felt Him wash my eyes with tears
And chased away all my fears
So I felt release from all worries of mine
For He is my Lord and Savior devine
Able to carry me through troubled waters
No matter how high the tide.
