My Cat

It was a slice of pie, learning to spell.
A piece of cake, learn to read and write.
A walk in the park adding all things well.
A day in the sun making all this bright.

All these things I was taught in school.
Helped me gain knowledge, not be a fool.

Come in from the cold, get out of the rain.
Don't play with fire, wear boots in the snow.
These too I was taught, but not the same.
I was taught about living, the things to know.

Sleep when you're tired, some of this some of that.
All that's important in living, I learned from my cat.
