Get Rid Of The Advertisements

A child was born

The world was dark and lonely
No ray of hope in sight, but a
star appeared in heaven gave
forth a marvelous light. For a
babe was born in a manger
and a new day dawned bright.

The savior of the world had
Come to dispel the dark night
The bonds were surely broken
From chains of death set free.
The Savior came to give us
Hope and liberty.

Written January 1956

“I wrote this then, my niece
Was rummaging through
My brother’s things, found
This letter and the poem I
Wrote and sent it to me.”
I cease to anticipate the wonder
Of it and the lovely
Thoughts behind it

No frills
