Christmas Dreaming

Christmas Dreaming

The snow is falling
As clouds cover the sky
We sit by the fire place
I'm so glad you're mine

The kids are a sleep
All tucked in their bed
Dreaming of Christmas morn
As presents run through their heads

Tossing and turning
As they open each gift
Each new little toy
Gives their spirit a lift

Though Christmas is a week away
They dream of toys all night long
Dreaming of elf's and Santa
As their hearts sing a Christmas song

The snow is piling up outside
As they sleep until morning light
Then wake up to new fallen snow
Their eyes shine with such delight

But,come early Christmas morning
They shall all wake to see
All that Santa brought them
Placed under-neath that tree

As they open the presents
There will be papers torn all around
And laughter and screaming
Will surly be the loudest sounds

Until that time they can only dream
Of toys they want and write on their lists
But will have no way of knowing
If they get for what they wish
