Get Rid Of The Advertisements

Life's Bitter Cup

Slowly passed the minutes and hours
When I was young and strong.
I wished and wished for things
Which seemed out of reach.

Patient I had to be

For there were lessons I must learn
Coming 'round each corner I turn
Life lessons my teacher would be.

Now that my steps are slow
And wrinkles line my face
Many hurdles cross my path
On this journey of life I go.

The Master of the universe is in control
Giving me endurance to press on
Rather than giving up
As I drink from life's bitter cup.
