Pursuit of Humility

I stumble (being human), at the task.
AM I heav'n bound to in His presence bask?
A dropped disguise, long gone the pretense mask.
PROUD let me not be, this, Lord, I ask.
MAN, recognising Christ the ideal role,
PURSUING righteousness to grow the soul,
HUMILITY and goodness as the goal,
BY His redeeming love we are made whole.
THE wrong we do , which no one can condone,
GRACE, only grace, shall bring us to the throne.
OF consequence are seeds we may have sown.
GOD sent His Son, for our sins to atone.
