The Forgotten

Dont they realize
How the silence bleeds
Yes we are old
But we still have needs

To sit and wait
for the knock on the door
Or to hear that voice
For years we so adore

Hoping for at least a missed call
We constantly check our phone
Days become weeks and then months
Yet here we sit lonely and alone

We totally understand
How busy life can be
But a few minutes call
Is that too much for me

Yet we will continually wait
Going to bed each nite heartbroken
Never would we have thought
Those so cherished would have forgotten

Being left with only
The Sound of Silence

ღ God asked me how long I planned on keeping you in my life.
I smiled and said...
How do I choose between always and forever...
But then I have found that's really not up to me... ღ
