No Special Day

It was no special kind of day. But thoughts of you came flooding into my mind ( as they often do). I picked up the phone, full well knowing that you would never answer my call. How could I be so naive to believe I would hear your sweet hello answer? Yet still feeling the need of you I dialed the number. A tone came followed by ' this number has been disconnected or no longer in service'......I needed to hear no more. My eyes filled with tears. And I sat for a moment trying to regain my composure. One would think after all this time I would just move on. I have Mom. But today just like any day is not so special anymore since God took you home. And I miss you so.
