Get Rid Of The Advertisements

BEFORE I RAN MY RACE

Those perfect imperfections are
A mys'try sent to me.
This simple, brief conundrum floats
Bereft upon life's sea.

It really is a secret and
I'm not allowed to tell,
Just where the thoughts all come from or
What 'ere they have to sell.

At once I heard them talking of
The time they made me cry,
And I was wont to ask them why
They even want to try.

But thinking better of my plan
To make them take their place,
I sat me down to rest awhile...
Before I ran my race!
